The Rock by Jennifer Bernard

Jake, the final Rockwell, hires a PI, Olivia James, that his brother in law knows, to finally find out who killed their Mom. Olivia usually works for women, but makes an exception for Jake, and the other Rockwell's. In full fashion, the book brings together romance, suspense, and of course smoking hot bedroom action. Luckily it is all cleared up at the end, we find out what happened to their Mom, Amanda, and the Rockwells get a romance worthy send off.
This was the final book in the Rockwell series, all 5 books were awesome. I am sad that the series is over, but I am excited to see what is coming next from Jennifer Bernard.

Tempted by Taylor by Cindy Kirk

Taylor was just fired from Nick's company. She goes to his office to find out why, and to possibly get her job back. Nick needs a fake fiancee because of a possible merger in the works. The daughter of the owner of the merger company is an ex, and the father would love to see them together. Nick can't think of anything worse. He hires Taylor to play his fiancee until the meger goes through. They spend time together, spend time with her Grandparents (her parents died in a car accident). Her old friend Tony shows up, hired by Claire the ex to breal them up because she wants Nick. Luckily Tony leaves before he does something that will hurt Taylor and Nick.
Great story, short, but a great read. This is a clean romance, all they do is kiss, Taylor heavily relies on her faith and sunday morning church. She is saving herself for her husband on their wedding night, which cause some frustration out of Nick.
I would love to read a story about Erik, Nick's attorney. We didn't see him very much in the book, but I would love to visit these characters again.

Shouldn't Have You by Carrie Ann Ryan

Harmony lost her husband Moyer at 25. He was killed in a car accident walking to lunch, his friend and boss Brendon was right behind him. Harmony just went on her first date since then, her date left, and she spent the rest of the night with Brendon. She goes on 3 more dates, that are all bad. Brendon realizes that he is starting to develop feelings for Harmony. He talks to his brothers, who convincd him that he needs to tell Harmony. She is not really shocked by them, because she was developing feelings as well. They kiss, and set up a date. He takes her to a buffet where they bring meat to the table on swords. Yes, they make funny penis jokes. Then they go back to Harmony's house, and she invites him in. The next morning Brendon has regrets, but doesn't tell Harmony.
He leaves, sees her later, tells her he cant be with her, she goes after him and says no. They love each other, and that's the end of the book.
I love this series ! I love all of The Montgomery books, and all the spin offs also, can't wait for more.
