Winter Wedding by Brenda Novak

Another amazing book in the Whiskey Creek series. Brenda Novak does not disappointed with this one. I have read each book in the series and love them all. In the first book of the writes Kyle looses Olivia to his brother Brandon. Throughout each book we see him still pining for her and hoping she leaves Brandon. Finally Kyle has given up on her and found a woman of his own, country musician Lourdes. Love them and this book, cannot wait for more from this series.

Dare to Seduce by Carly Phillips

Max Savage owns restaurants and he hires Lucy Dare to decorate the interior of his newest location. Max and Lucy jump into a sexual relationship pretty early in the book. Max is the ultimate alpha male. He hired a famous tv chef to run the kitchen at his new restaurant. I wanted to read more about the restaurant, I love books with restaurants in them. Carly Phillips does not disappoint with this book, except I still haven't found out the sex of Meg and Scott's baby (Dare to Hold), and I really want to know, as I am sure everyone else who is reading the Dare books also wants to know. We get to catch up with Lucy's family, and who has babies now.

Fear of Falling by S.L. Jennings

I read a lot of books, mostly romance. Sometimes a book that you think you will hate turn out to shoot to the top of your favorite books list. This did that. I didn't think I would like it because of the about section, I thought it would be all sad and woe is me. It is the story of a survivor. I will never get rid of this book, because down the road I will have to read it again. Kami is scared of everything, even the 'scary beautiful man' with tattoos and piercings.

The Secret Sister by Brenda Novak

Maisey Lazarow moved back home after a divorce. She meets up with her troubled brother Eric. Eric has never left home, he has drug problems. I think the Mom caters to him just so he won’t leave; she lets him live at home and borrow her car and truck. Their Mom is a pretentious nose-in-the-air, *itch. She talks down to Maisey about her marriage and the death of her six week old daughter.
Rafe, the guy who took Maiseys virginity when she was 16, is the handyman who is living in the bungalows that Maiseys Mom owns. In his renovations, he finds a box with pictures in it. Maisey is 100 % sure they are not of her. Did she have an older sister that she doesn’t remember and no one talks about?? Eric remembers her a little, and their Mom refuses to talk about her. Maisey will not let it rest and sets out to find out what really happened. And wow, if you are a smarty, you obviously know what happens.
Rafe likes Maisey, he wants to help her. They fall into bed pretty quickly, and the rest of the book, Maisey says we cant, I might be leaving, my mom doesn’t want us together, blah blah blah. Rafe is a single father raising is 6 year old Laney, who was born early and as a result is blind. Maisey finds her book she wrote and teaches Laney to braid.
I loved this book, it is completely different from her Whiskey Creek series, I can’t wait to read more of this series.

Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson

I thought my favorite Catherine Anderson was from the Harrigan/ Coulter series, but now this is on the top of the list ! Annie was always thought to be 'dumb' and her parents called her a 'moron' because she had a fever at the age of 6 and she became deaf. Well sort-of deaf, she can hear if you stand out of her sight and yell her name, she turns to look. Annie is raped in the prologue of the book by Douglas. 4 months later, her parents tell Douglas's brother Alex that she is pregnant, so her marries her because he always thought he was sterile. Alex gets Annie to trust the man who looks exactly like the man who did the bad things to her. Alex falls in love with Annie, and he buys her things, mostly music instruments, and toys because at the age of 6 she didn't have any playmates, so she made her own, out of clothes and Alex sees her 'talking' to them in his attic, and she becomes friends with the mice who live in the attic, (the year is 1890). I stayed up late so that I could finish this book, I went to bed at 2 A.M. and I had to be at work at 7:45 the next morning !! My sister read this book from our library and then had to tell me about it, and of course I had to read it !!

Only Lycans Need Apply by Michele Bardsley

The newest in the Broken Heart Series. This is about Drake, one of the triplet werewolves that are the security in Broken Heart, OK. Moira is a archaeologist, just like her Mother, and Grandfather. She is tasked with opening a pyramid to awaken the 2 oldest vampires in the world. They were made by Ruadan to be vampire family leaders. (see the index in the back of each book, for family members and their abilities). I have read each of the broken heart books, and they are all amazing. Funny, with lots of action, and of course hot vampires, and werewolves. This book does not disappoint. If you have read any of the broken heart books, or if you are a lover of supernatural, Pick up a Michele Bardsley book today !! You will not be diasppointed !

Evergreen Springs by RaeAnne Thayne

I love books about Doctors, especially female Doctors ! Devin is an emergency room doctor, who sees her friend Tricia. Tricia is pregnant with twins and while staying with her brother, Cole, she falls and hurts her ankle. She also shows signs of starting labor, but since its early, they give her stuff to stop it. Devin goes to Cole's house to help him with his 2 kids, whose Mother just died. Cole is surly and at times rude. His Father showed up out of the blue and is trying to get to know his grandkids and son, whom he walked out on after his wife died. Tricia left her husband when she thought he didn't want her and their babies. She goes into labor and Sean shows up. I love what he tells her when she is having contractions.
Devin and Cole get together at the very end of the book, after only having kissed a few times, they admit they love each other on Christmas Eve! I wanted to see the kids open their gifts in the book, but it was a great story

Full Blooded by Amanda Carlson

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I had never even heard of this author until I was going through the giveaway pages on goodreads and found this book, I unfortunately did not win, but I got the book through my local public library. I was so into this story, I did not even realize I was at the end until the very last word of the book. I am going to get the next books in the series because Amanda did not clear up this book. I will get the next books in the series so that I can find out what happens. I recommend this to all readers who like shifter novels. This is one of the greatest I have read in a long time, out girl is the only female in a Pack, she is the only female ever born to any member of her Father's Pack, and he is the strongest Alpha on the planet. She also has a twin brother that she can telepathically communicate with that I want to hear more about. Great book, I will keep an eye on this author's website, and good reads page.

From this Moment On by Bella Andre

Great book, Marcus and Nicola meet at a bar one night. Nicola is feeling lonely, and Marcus is reeling from walking in to find his girlfriend of 2 years having sex with another man who she proceeds to tell Marcus she loves. They go to Marcus Brothers house, but Nicola literally falls asleep, and sleeps on Marcus all night. The next morning he finds out that Nicola is only 25 while he is 36. He thinks that is too much of an age difference to make a lasting relationship. He finds out that Nicola is Nico, famous pop star. But her cannot get her out of his head until they decide to spend a week together and see what happens. Of course Nico goes on tour, and they "break-up" I put that in parentheses because they technically did not date. Marcus follows her and sees her at each show and sees her after the show so she knows that he was there. Nico finally realizes that she wants to be with Marcus and Marcus realizes that he loves Nico enough to follow her dreams. Great story plus we get to see his Brother and Sisters, and catch up with Chase and Chloe from the first book, The Look of Love. Can's wait for the next paperback book release of the 3rd story, August of 2013 !

Colter's Lady by Maya Banks

Lily is homeless, and Seth meets her at a soup kitchen. He invites Lily to stay with him to get warm. Lily accepts, but the next morning she meets his brother Michael, and gets scared for the feelings she is getting for both me, so she runs. Seth and Michael find her and take her to Clyde, and she meets other brother, Dillon, who also likes her on first site, and kisses her. All 3 men are taken with her and want to have a relationship with her, like the one their Dad's have with their Mother Holly (from Colter's Woman). When Lily realizes that she can be with all 3 men, together and separately, she starts to come out of her shell and tells the brothers exactly what happened to her to force her onto the streets. Lily has to confront her past before she can have a future with the 3 men.

Insatiable by Opal Carew

Very sexy book. Crystal is supposed to get married today, but her fiancee's best friend Evan, and best man, tells her that he loves her. The fiancee Brent, over hears this, and sees them kissing. He leaves the wedding, and does not answer his phone. Crystal asks Evan to go with her on her honeymoon trip, and they leave. She has sex with Evan twice, and then Brent shows up, desperate to not let Crystal go. They have hot sex, menage, a little hot man-on-man action, some girl-on-girl, and plenty of hot sex between them and 2 friends they meet from next door (a guy and a girl). The sex scenes are so hot, I had to fan myself while reading! Opal gives her characters large equipment in each of her books I have read, so not very relatable, since they are talked about as being larger than average. But other than that, the sex scenes are great, and the book has a great story, who will she choose Brent the man she said to yes, or Evan the new man in her bed.

Naughty Little Secret by Shayla Black

Great book. Lauren was married and had to kids with her husband, she divorces him. Two years later she is working for his friend Noah, who has a secret crush on Lauren. But Lauren also likes Noah, but thinks she is not for him because of all the bimbos he troops in front of her at the office. Noah becomes Lauren's "Mr. Mysterious" and goes to her house each night to have sex with her until he tells her he loves her one night. Lauren fantasizes that her "Mr. Mysterious" is Dane, but in the office they never let on their crushes for each other, until one night, "MR. Mysterious" unmasks himself. Will Dane be able to convince Lauren that he loves her enough to start a relationship with her, or will she never be able to forgive him for breaking into her house and loving her every night. BE ADVISED: This IS NOT a rape story, she does not say NO, she always says YES.

Deer in Headlights by Staci Hart

On Olympus, the Gods and Goddesses have contests. They pick mortals to become "their choice". They then try to either get them together or try to keep them apart. This book is Aphrodite vs. Apollo. Their choices are Lex and Dean respectivelly. Lex is dating Travis and Dean is known as Professor Panty Dropper. The A ' s have their hands full with these 2. Each chapter is a day. We see Lex and Dean in New York and we also see Olympus. Aphrodite even goes to hell to visit her friend Persephone. They all have cute nicknames also. This was a great book, I got it a while ago when it was free (Thank You book bub !) Great book totally recommend.

Before we Kiss by Susan Mallery

Sam and Dellina had a one night stand, Sam went to the bathroom went back into the wrong room and saw a room full of wedding dresses she was storing for a friend, and a dry erase board titled "How to get Him to Propose" her sister wrote. He freaked and left. Fast forward and Sam needs Dellina to plan a party for his company. Close quartets and late nights lead to more until Dellina admits she loves him.

The best part of this book are Sam's parents, especially his Mom. She is so hilarious! I suggest when you read this, do it in the privacy of your own home, you will be laughing out loud.

Saying Yes to the Boss by Jackie Braun

I read this book, along with Their Unfinished business about Danes sister Alice, and A woman worth Loving about Deans other sister, Ali's twin, Audra. These three books are excellent. I would recommend reading Audras book first, A Woman worth Loving, followed by Ali's book, Their Unfinished Business, and then this book. Due to the publishing this is the order of the books, on a timeline setting. Audras book introduces you to the characters and Danes book finishes the story of all three siblings. I read each of these books in one night each. I bought them all at different times and it took me about 3 hours to read each book. If you enjoy Harelquin Romance Novels then these are excellent choices.

The Wedding Favor by Regina Duke

I loved this book! Ava grew up next door to Mateos family, when Mateo learns his grandpa has cancer and only weeks to live, he proposes to Ava so his grandpa can see him marry. Ava does accept his proposal , and they get married, and hilarity ensues on Ava's way to the wedding, read the book, it funny and heartwarming and sad all together but with an HEA.

Yours Always by Rhonda Dennis

I went into this book thinking it would be a love story. in a way it was, until Fletcher ' s demons from PTSD got to be too much, and he took the cowards way out. I think I cried for about 3 chapters, and then I took a deep breath and I was done. This is a tragedy, a love story, another tragedy and more love. Savanah had bad things happen in her life, Fletcher helped her work those out, and then he left her and their twins, that he unfortunately didn't know about. Then it's another love story in the form of a job and a love that forms out of that. I had romance books with no sadness in them at the top of my best books ever, but this one goes straight to the top, with romance and sadness and emotional demons, I have a new favorite book.

Secret Ties by Opal Carew

I knew what was going to happen when I had barely started the book. Most erotica is like that, but the scenes in this book were HOT. She has menage a trois, and a menage a quatro. I liked the fact that she was a chocolatier, and for a trade show, she made chocolates into penis, with different colors, and a flesh colored one, she was quite proud of. She also puts herself into a stock, and waits for her Dom to come in and take her. He also puts a spin on the scene, by pretending that there are more men than himself with him. Opal writes scorching hot sex scenes, and all around good read (HA HA !) books. Recommend this book and all of Opal Carew books for anyone who loves BDSM, multiple partners, and lots of explicit sex scenes.

On Mystic Lake by Kristin Hannah

I could read this book every day, so great, I almost cried a few times. Annie separated from her 40 yer old husband when he told her he was in love with a 28 year old coworker. Nick is her best friend from childhood whose wife committed suicide with his police gun. Nicks daughter is Izzy, and she doesn't talk, until Annie becomes her nanny. Wonderful story, sad at times. The ending is left hanging, she doesn't see Nick she just gets to the highway and decides to head North towards Nick and her hometown, then it's over. I wanted to see her go to Nick and tell him she's going to divorce her husband and wants to be with him.

Coulter's Daughter by Maya Banks

Callie is the daughter, She met Max, but he had to leave her in Greece when he had some family problems. He never went back to her or even called her to let her know what was going on. Callie waited in their hotel room for a month, waiting to hear anything from Max. She moved back home to Clyde. Co., to be with her family. Max shows up and they start dating again, but when Callies oldest brother Seth learns why Max was even with Callie, it will all blow up in his face, Can he get Callie back, or will she be lost to him forever.

Great book, especially the ending, of how Max eventually wins back Callie

A Shot of Sultry by Macy Beckett

Loved It! I cannot wait for the third book in the series, coming August of 2013, about Colton "Surrender to Sultry."

 In this book, the second of the series, we meet Luke's sister Bobbi, and she gets together with Trey, Luke's best friend. She is in Sultry Springs to film a documentary. She gets Trey and Colton to be the documentary, about men who basically sleep around looking for the perfect woman. And who else to get together than the star and the director of the documentary! Great love story, and funny times also. Totally recommend to everyone who has either read the first story, or who loves a great story where the ending of the book is the best part.

Sweet Persuasion by Maya Banks

Serena spend her time creating fantasies for other people. She owns her own business, and does not have a boyfriend. She tells her girlfriends,that she has a fantasy of being a slave to a sexy man, her friend Faith hooks her up with Damon Roche, who can help her make that fantasy come true. She send him a detailed and very sexy story about her Master buying her at an auction. So Damon sets it up, and buys her himself when he realizes that he wants to be the one to own her. Very sexy guys, and lots of hot sex scenes between these 2. We also meet a lot of the characters from her later books in the same series, those are also great books, so check them out on her author website.

Chance of a Lifetime by Jodi Thomas

Normally I do not like the books that jump back and forth between characters, but Jodi Thomas does it so well, that I had to force myself not to jump ahead and find out what happened. She writes her chapters as inter-connected stories. Just because they are not at the beginning of the chapter does not mean they will not be at the end. I recommend you go out and get the first book of the series, Welcome to Harmony, then read all the way up to this one. Great stories, and great characters. Love this series, and I will keep an eye out for more.

Kissing Another Grimaldi by K.Z. Riman

Kelsey is a single mom. 6 years ago she was dating her college sweetheart, Seth. He was tragically killed in a car accident before she could tell him that she was pregnant with his son, Sean. She had a feeling He was going to propose,
and He was, he had the engagement ring with him, which she now wears.
Scott, Seth’s twin brother, has always liked Kelsey, even when she was dating Seth.
Due to financial strain, Kelsey moves herself and her son in with Scott’s Mother and Father. Who are excited to have their grandson living with them.
The author uses each chapter to go from Kelsey to Scott’s points-of-view, I liked that, We get to see what happens for both characters. Most books are from one p.o.v. , I liked that K.Z. jumped between each character. It makes for a great and interesting book.
Scott is the V.P. of his Father’s
pharmaceutical company. Scott helps create a drug that saves a very important person later in the book. The company also creates a “sex” drug which is given to Kelsey, but a member of Scott’s company, There is a full chapter all about that.
Scott has some trouble accepting Sean because of his feelings for Kelsey, but luckily by the end of the book he has to deal with Sean first hand, and overcomes his troubles. Kelsey goes away to take some much needed medicine to “little boys and girls who need it”. Alicia, Scott’s cousin who we meet with her
twin brother Keiffer in the beginning of the book, accompanies Kelsey.

I give the book 3 out of 5 hearts. The currency used in the book is a creolle, which I have never heard of, nor do I know the convergence to American dollars. Also the Genre is Erotica and the Heat Rating is a 4, I do not agree with those. Yes there are some sex scenes in the book, but not, in my opinion, racy enough to be considered an erotica book. I would only give it a Heat Rating of a 2, due to the sex scenes, I was not that hot !

He had given sperm because of a job with the fire department.
Jacob and Jessie fall into a relationship, but someone else wants Jessie for himself and when he kidnaps her, Jacob may never see her again.

The copy I read was the Sweeter version, so it had sex scenes but not as explicit as the other book. There are 2 of each book, one explicit and one Sweeter Version, please read according to your preferences, I have read both types of the books, and wow those are some hot and steamy sex scenes!

The Right Choice (Unexpected Love Series Book 1) by Carly Phillips

Carly is engaged to Peter. She doesn't love him but she respects him and craves the security of a marriage. Then she meets Mike, who challenges her engagement. The bad thing ? He's Peters brother. He doesn't want to get married but he also doesn't want Carly to make a mistake and marry Peter without being in love. Will Mike convince her to take a chance on him ?

Going Down Easy by Carly Phillips

Lexie Parker is caring for her twin sister. She is also the new personal assistant to Kaden Barnes. Kaden owns a company with 2 friends, they are thinking of going public, but there are problems from his past that might hurt their company. Kaden and Lexie begin a relationship, until things happen and he fires her. It all works out in the end when Kaden goes on live tv and explains why he left the company and what happened in the past. Lexie's sister goes into rehab and she makes her dad step up. She goes to Kaden and they talk everything over, and all is good. The epilogue is their wedding ! Going down Fast is the next book about Lucas.

Levi is a sexy cop, who has a crush on Sarah. She works at the Circle K gas station. Levi and his partner stop in each night. Sarah gets robbed and Levi saves her. She also has a stalker who finds her, and Levi saves her again. Lots of hot sex, hello handcuffs ! I wanted the book to be longer, but after reading the epilogue and finding there is a 4th book, starring someone we never would have guessed, I can wait.

The 3rd brother is Levi, of Dirty Sexy Cuffed, and I cannot wait for his book to come out !
