Cassie is a single Mother, with 4 kids. Krew is a former football player, sidelined due to a possible career ending injury. Krew is one of 2 men who could be the father of Cassie's oldest child, daughter Dakota. A DNA test proves that Krew is. The other guy who could be the Dad, is around for a while, then Krew tells him off and he is not heard from again. Krew wants to help take care of Dakota's college fund, since he never paid any support for her. Since he is the father, he wants to be a part of Cassie and her kids lives. Cassie lets him come around to help. They are a united front when they tell her family that Krew is the father of her daughter. He goes overboard on Christmas but Cassie knows he won't take any gifts back. They spend time together, and hopefully we see a wedding in a future book !
Cassie is the sister of Lindsay from the previous book.
We get to catch up with the others from previous books also. Lots of pregnancies happening in Good Hope right now.
