| Emily left home years ago to move to L.A. to become an interior designer. She states that she makes a lot of money doing this, and she loves it. We get to glimpse at some of the designs she does, and Sherryl gives us some scenes of the interiors that she decorates. Emily broke Boone's heart when she left him, but Boone got married and had a son. Unfortunately, he lost his wife and has their 8 year old son. Boone is a restaurant owner, he owns 3 restaurants. Emily comes home when a storm hits her hometown, and does some damage to her Grandmother's restaurant. She meets up with Boone, and meets his son, who starts to like her. He even gives her ideas for using colors in her designs at a hotel in Aspen, which she does use! The only thing I didn't like in the book was that we didn't get to see how she said goodbye to Boone, and what happened immediately after. I thought that Boone jumped into bed with Emily too soon, especially after we find out he loved Emily since she left, and shared his heart with the 2 women, but they do eventually work it out in the end, when Emily decides she does want to be with Boone instead of advancing her career in L.A. Great book about first loves, and how no matter what happens, they can come full circle, and be together again. |
