Sparrow is a private investigator. She works with Wilder, the Prince of Alden. Breck, the heir to their older brother Roman, the King of Alden is also around. Sparrow has a hate hate relationship with Breck, she caught him with 2 women and thinks that is all he does. But he is acrually the tech geek of the family and has invented apps that he sells. Sparrow is injured in 2 incidents before the find out who is behind the attacks. A man, Truman Nix, who raped and abused his wife, whom Sparrow helped escape him, and at least 5 other women is out of prison on a technicality. He is looking to either find his wife through Sparrow, or wants another woman to abuse. It's not him though, it's men he is sending. Sparrow and Breck have sex the second time she is injured. They become a couple while searching for Nix. They are lead into an ambush, until Nix reveals himself. Sparrow takes a Kannon stand in to meet with him. Sparrow subdues him, and the Kannon stand in subdues his guards. She runs to disarm a bomb, while the Kannon stand in gets Nix out of the building. She can't disarm the bomb so they clear the buildings and streets to protect people. She has to jump out the window, unfortunately Nix escapes and finds her. The Kannon stand in shoots and kills him. She and Breck are ok, and they have a party. London is heavily pregnant, but doesn't give birth, yet...
There is a bonus epilogue. Up next is, based on the ending, Onyx and Wilder. We will have to wait and see.
